Jane was born on April 7, 1939, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Alma McPherson and Jack Reid. She lived a life marked by love for her family, quiet strength, and grace.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Dale Peterson, who passed away in 1992, and her second husband, Byron Monteith, who passed away in 2022.
She is survived by her brother, Jack Reid (Sharla), nephew Leonard; her sons Dan (Becky), Rusty, and Chris (Evelyn); her stepdaughters Tina and Terri (Mike); 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her long-time and beloved friend, Pat Leiler, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy in her life.
Funeral services will be held on February 10, 2026, at West Resthaven, located at 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale Arizona 85301. A viewing will take place at 10:00 AM., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m.
Jane will be remembered for her love of family and the legacy of care and devotion she leaves behind.
