John Douglas Bradshaw Sr.

John is preceded in death by his sister Sidney Upshaw and brother Andy Bradshaw.

John is survived by his loving wife Ruby Bradshaw of 64 years. They were married in Luka, Mississippi on December 21st, 1951.

John is lovingly remembered by his sons John Bradshaw II and Donald Bradshaw, daughters-in-law Brenda Bradshaw and Renee Bradshaw, grandsons John Bradshaw III and Paul Bradshaw, granddaughters-in-law Jamie Bradshaw and Elizabeth Bradshaw and great grandchildren Will and Hannah Bradshaw.

John proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1949, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1950–1953. In 1957, John and his wife Ruby moved to the Phoenix area where he worked for over 50 years as a professional painter. He enjoyed riding his bike, rooting for the Arizona Cardinals, maintaining his house and yard and spending time with family & friends. John was an active member of the Church of Christ and spent a lot of time over the years working at Copper Basin Bible Camp in Prescott, AZ.

A visitation will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ on Friday August 12, 2016 from 6-8 pm.

A funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary on Monday August 15, 2016 at 11:00 am with Theo Jones officiating.
