

Jon Robertson Huling, 74, passed away on July 23, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona. Jon was born on April 29, 1945 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to the late Jean and Elda Huling. He was the oldest of three children; a big brother to Bonnie Huling Allred and Rex Huling.
Jon graduated from Lovell High School in 1963, then served a mission in Chile for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1965, where he learned Spanish, a language in which he retained fluency for the remainder of his life. Jon briefly moved to San Diego, where he lived with his father and took some classes related to automobile repair. He married Peggy Ollerton on August 10th 1972; they had four children. He was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on November 3rd, 1998, which resulted in injuries that impacted his health for the remainder of his life.
Jon’s greatest love in life was his family, to whom he was absolutely devoted. He was also an avid long-distance bicyclist, loved motorcycles and all kinds of cars - chiefly classic cars. He could recite the make, model, and year of any car on the road. He was a spirited square dancer and loved to go on family camping trips.
Jon will be remembered for his bright, open smile. He was loving, selfless, and never failed to impress his loving nature upon anyone that he met. He was always ready to take time out of his schedule for anyone, and loved to chat.
Jon is survived by his four children, April Maloy (Francis), Bryant Huling, Shay Jankowski (Kyle), and November Huling, his sister Bonnie Allred (John) and brother J. Rex Huling (LaDawn), ex-wife and close friend, Peggy Archuleta, and 8 grandchildren: Avin, Jase (Tirzah), Jerryn, Laura, Jennifer, Kyara, Luke, and Paige.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 8702 W Campbell Ave in Phoenix on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 9 AM followed by a funeral service at 10 AM. Jon will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.
