Joseph David Campbell, 79, of Avondale, Arizona passed away on June 16, 2020. He was born on May 6, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph and Thelma Campbell. He grew up with his siblings: Gene, Marlene, Jane, Renee, Victoria, and Becky, and his numerous cousins. Joe proudly served his community as a Firefighter, Fire Captain, and Fire Union Representative for 25 years. He found a second career as a real estate agent that he enjoyed for another twenty years. Joe met the love of his life, Camille, and they joined their hands in marriage on July 2, 1962. Joe and Camille spent nearly 58 years devoted to each other before Joe's passing. Joe was protective of his family and gave selflessly. He became a proud father to Dave, Leisha, and Marci and a proud grandfather to Letitia, Jaymes, Paris, and Aidan. He enjoyed sharing his passions, life lessons, and time with his family and friends. Joe was an avid golfer, billiard player, and drummer. Joe is a proud Air Force Veteran and we are all thankful for his service. He was one-of-a-kind and will forever live in the hearts of his family, friends, and those who had the pleasure to know him.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Camille; his children, Dave, Leisha, and Marci and her husband Rob; four grandchildren, Letitia, Jaymes, Paris, and Aidan; his brother, Gene; sisters, Victoria and Becky; and the rest of his extended family and countless colleagues and friends over his 79 years.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 beginning at 2:00 pm at The Astrology Store, 5735 W. Glendale Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301.
