Ron, I didn't know your mother but I felt like I did through your writing about her.  My deepest sympathy.  I know you will miss her tremendously.

June, what wonderful memories of you I have...years of solving puzzles together, sometimes laughing so hard we cried & you singing for me with that beautiful voice of yours.  God blessed all of us with your wonderful laughter & beautiful smile.  I miss & love you so much!

Mom....stopped by to see you yesterday and I hope you like the Mother's Day flowers I brought you, and the angel I placed on your headstone. The angel is from Sid Severin who gave it to you in November when you were in the hospital. I called Sid and was going to give the angel back to her but she insisted I place it on your headstone. An angel for an angel. Here's the poem that was read at your funeral by
Chaplain David that everyone seems to want. We thought the poem had been buried with you but David found it in his pocket and mailed it back to me. It reads:

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be....
So he put his arms around you and whispered "come with Me."

With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away....
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest....
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Ron: I have never fogotten the first time I met you and your mom and dad. It was at Country Kitchen on Bell Rd. the night before their offical opening. You thought they were open but they weren't, we were just in training. You all came back the next day for the offical opening and came every day after. June reminded me so much of my own mother I will miss her as I do my mom. I cried myself to sleep every night for a year after she passed but time heals but you never forget.

Mom....I will miss you for the rest of my living days. This is so hard having you gone and I wasn't prepared for you to leave me. Every time the back line rings here at the office, I think it's you because you always called me on it. I know I was a good son to you but that doesn't ease the pain of having you gone forever from my life. I love you dearly and will never let that go.
I'm staying at your house for now but
I'm not sure I can go through your stuff although I know I have to. I'm trying my best to be strong but this is really hard. Everyone says to call them and I know they are there for me but I guess I'd just rather sob and get through this on my own. Guy and Debbie had me over for dinner so that helped. And Kevin and Kathy are taking me out to dinner tonight, and that will help too but I'd rather be taking you out to dinner. I love you and miss you. Here's a candle for you.
