

Kathy was born in Phoenix Arizona on July 11, 1955. On January 13, 2024 at 68 years of age, she passed away peacefully after a serious illness. She was educated at Sunnyslope Elementary School, Central High School, Phoenix Junior College and also took many additional business classes. Besides being a computer whiz, she also loved to do genealogy research for family and special friends.
A very talented lady, Kathy was an artist, photographer, author, and poet. Her musical talents included piano and flute. Having an adventurous nature, she enjoyed camping, bird-watching, gardening, bicycle riding, traveling, playing softball and participated in many sports. She loved animals and was a supporter of the Arizona Human Society for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband Brian Biallas, the love of her life, her son Eric Jacon Kater, two granddaughters Andora and Genevive Kater, her mother Jean Hamsher, two sisters Susan Gardner Cox and Terry Roche (Alan) and a step-brother David Hamsher (Robin). Kathy also adored her loving aunt Janet Manning of Seattle and numerous cousins in Seattle, Detroit and Boston. She was predeceased by her father M. Keith Gardner and brother Michael K. Gardner.
Internment will be at Resthaven Cemetery, Glendale AZ with and informal gathering of friends and family at a later date.
