Larry married Barbara Stantz on February 10, 1968. They shared 38 years of marriage prior to her passing on December 20, 2006.
Larry enjoyed radio controlled planes and was part of ARCS, AMPS, Sun Valley Flyers and 1/8 Air Force. He had his favorites including the P-51 Mustang as well as the Messerschmit (ME109). He would often spend time at the flying fields with his friends, “hanger flying” (code for chatting with friends) and flying his planes.
He was very knowledgeable about World War II and often would talk for hours with Gail and her children about all of the planes and the history.
Larry is survived by his daughter Gail Robinson and her partner Kristopher Hughes, two grandsons Karl DeShaun Robinson & Jonathan Hughes, four siblings Harold Stephens, Jr., Carol Brown, Theodore (Carol) Stephens & Jean (Rick) Kohler including several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife Barbara, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Patricia.
There will be a graveside service at Resthaven Park Cemetery on October 9, 2024 at 11:00am.
