Lucille P. Cooper, 94, of Sun City West, went to Heaven on Nov 1, 2013. She was born March 14, 1919 in Pima, Arizona to William and Phyllis Preston, one of eight children. On October 13, 1934 she married Chester Cooper and they were blessed with six children. They were married 57 years before the Lord called him home. Lucille's biggest love was her children and her family. She was a devoted wife and mother who took great care of her family. When she had a moment of free time she enjoyed crosswords, Yahtzee, and Jeopardy, among other things. She was quick witted and sharp as a tack. When asked how she was doing her reply was
always "fat and sassy!" Her wry sense of humor and loving personality will be missed. She is survived by her children Gary (Bobbie) Cooper, Gaye (Bob) Ludwick, Ron Cooper, Carol (Garry) Terry, Steve (Mary) Cooper, Kim (Greg) Pierce; 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Florence Root, sister-in-law Shirley Preston, and too many nieces and nephews to count. Come celebrate her life at a graveside service on Sat, Nov 9, 2013, at 10am; West Resthaven Cemetery 6450 W. Northern Avenue Glendale. The celebration of Lucille's life will continue after her service with a luncheon at her daughter's home. Condolences may be sent to www.westresthavenfuneralhome.com
