

As a young child, Virginia trusted Christ as her Savior while singing "Into My Heart" in Sunday School, later surrendering her life to the Lord. While attending Denver Bible Institute, she met and later married Arthur C. Bailey, of Chicago, Illinois, on May 24, 1944 at the First Baptist Church in Monte Vista, Colorado. They were blessed with four children; Paul, Carol, Mark and Joy.
Virginia worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell-AT&T for 33 plus years. She was a student of the Word and prayed for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In the past, she served as a deaconess, cooking for Awana workers and on the pastoral search committee at Palmcroft Baptist Church. She loved music, especially the hymns, and enjoyed playing her violin. Quilting, porcelain dolls and anything Christmas were some of her favorite interests.
The fourth of 5 children, Virginia was preceeded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edna Jones; sisters, Mildred Jones, Margaret Daniel; brother, Clarence; her husband, Arthur and son, Paul. Survivors include: daughter, Carol and husband, Gary Walters of Red Oak, IA; son Mark and wife, Barby Bailey of Dallas, Texas; daughter Joy of Phoenix; four grandchildren, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and their spouses; 7 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters.
