Manuel Sotelo Uribe
April 12, 1932 - February 23, 2026
Manuel Sotelo Uribe, a longtime resident of Glendale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 at the age of 93. He was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Uribe and parents, Martin Sotelo and Angela Uribe and 5 siblings. Manuel retired after 30+ years with the City of Glendale as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He lived a remarkably long, healthy and quiet retired life defined by a "heart of gold" and a deep devotion to his family and friends.
Manuel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a frequent visitor to local casinos and spent many happy hours in his garage working on his 1949 Cadillac. A man of tradition, he could often be found at his favorite restaurant, El Charrito, enjoying a bowl of menudo or a plate of enchiladas. He was proud to have spent several years in the Army National Guard trained on machine guns. Above all, he cherished the time spent during visits from his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving daughter Anna Vasquez (+Don); four grandchildren Mario Vasquez Jr. (+Imelda), Sonya (+George), Danielle and Eric Pursehouse; and five great-grandchildren, Marissa, Mario IIl, Atreyu, Aiden and Addison. He will remain in their hearts forever until they are reunited once again.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Hospice of the Valley-Levine Home for the comfort, dignity and compassionate care provided to Manuel and the entire family during his final days.

From the Family:
'He has gone to a place where the jackpots are plenty, the roads are golden and the Caddy runs forever smooth. Though his journey on earth has ended. his quiet strength and heart of gold remain the engine that keeps our family moving forward. We carry his love with us every day until we meet again at a table set with his favorite enchiladas." ♥️
