Margie F. Connell

Margie passed away June 24, 2015 at her Glendale home. Margie was born in Phoenix, AZ on August 24, 1930. Margie attended Glendale High and ASU where she graduated in 1952 with a teaching degree. She married the love of her life Chuck Connell in May 1954. She had two children, Gail and Chuck Jr. Margie loved her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Glendale and was very involved with the Church family and Esther’s Women Circle. She was a Pillar of the Church and the Community. She orchestrated the Church’s Centennial in 1994. Margie loved her Native State of Arizona and saw many changes in her lifetime. She was a member of the Glendale Historical Society and PEO. She was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend to many. She was all about helping and being there for others. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Mondo, her sister Jean Dad, her husband Chuck Connell and her son Chuck Connell Jr. She is survived by her daughter Gail Lacy, Granddaughter Darcee Lacy Geiler, sisters Helen Robinson, Kathryn Baxla (Don), Carolyn Thorley (Harlo), 8 Nieces, 5 Nephews and many lifelong friends. She will be sorely missed by all. Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2015 from 5-8pm at Chapel of the Chimes 7924 N. 59th Ave in Glendale. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10am at First United Methodist Church of Glendale 7102 N. 58th Dr. Glendale with interment after at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
