Marianne Zachow was born 7/9/1924 in Brooklyn NY to Charles and Emily Platt and passed away 9/12/2015 in Phoenix, Arizona. She managed a neurological practice for thirty years in Tucson, Arizona and was active in church and community projects. Besides being a genealogy enthusiast and history buff she loved to travel, teach pinochle and help people. Influential to many young people and a great role model she was active in leadership for the Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls and Cub Scouts. Marianne was preceded in death by her son, Michael, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her children Cathy Vega, Emily Blaine, Patrick Zachow, seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer society. Memorial service is Saturday September 19, 2015 at 1:00pm located at Chapel of the Chimes mortuary.
