born in Peoria, Illinois, died September 14th just 4 days shy of his 93rd birthday. After high school, he enlisted in the Army and served in WWII earning a Bronze Star. After serving, he married the love of his life, Margaret. They were married for 67 years and had two wonderful children. In 1957, they moved to Arizona. Here Mark worked for APS as a mechanic. He loved sports, reading, puzzles and camping with his family. He is survived by his wife Margaret, children Dave and Kathy (George), grandchildren Amy (Jen) and Erin (Brian) and great grandchildren Quinlyn, Bella, Kaius, Camden and Estin, as well as his extended family in Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents Mark and Fran Murphy, Ruth and Cliff Walker, sisters Betty Jane Murphy and Maxine Maloney. His love and antics will be deeply missed. Celebration of life will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home 6450 W. Northern Avenue. Visitation at 10 am and services at 11.
