I am sorry to be so slow in acknowledging what a wonderful friend Marty was to me.  I learned so much from her and she was always willing to help and share her wonderful quilting talents.  Due to illness, I no longer get to be a part of Busy Bees.  I know though that she is greatly missed from the group.  Marty was very special to me for the years that I knew her.

I knew Marty and also worked for her in Phoenix at the phone company when it was Mountain Bell.  She was easy to work for and a very nice person to talk to.  And I have to say I'll never forget that Gremlin she drove.  My condolences to her family, I'm sure she will be greatly missed.

I worked with Marty when the telephone company was still called U S WEST.  She was a delight to know and I am very sorry to hear this news. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss.

I am sorry to hear about Marty's passing. I worked with her for several years at U S West. She was a very special lady and we all sought her out for help and relied on her knowledge. She will be missed not only by her family but by her friends from the phone company as well.

Aunt Marty was a firecracker!  I was totally in awe of her when she stood up to Mom on a visit to Las Vegas during my teen years - resulting in my first dress with a hemline more than an inch above the knee (and this was during the advent of the mini-skirt)!  She filled my childhood and Corinne's with tins of home-made doll clothes and beautiful dresses with pinafores which were passed on to younger sisters.  Her phone calls have meant a lot to me during the last few years, and I will greatly miss her spirited comments and sharp sense of humor.  Cheryl Frazier, Niece (Ferndale, Washington)

I knew Marty for many years through the joy of quilting and Night Owls.  She was so talented and willing to share her expertise with everyone.  Her passing is a tremendous loss to her family, but also to our quilting community.  My prayers are with those she left behind and everyone that cared for her.

I grew up with her daughter Erika and she was my second mom.  I will cherish the past and know her and Ray are together at peace. Loved them all. God bless. Mindy in KY

We've known Marty for over 20 years through the Night Owls quilt chapter.  She was a talented quilt artist and a good friend.  She will be greatly missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Marty was a wonderful and talented quilter.  She was a very giving person of her time and talents.  I will miss her in so many ways.

I will miss Marty.  She was always so generous and patient with  help and teaching to those less gifted in quilting.   She was also generous with gifts.  I learned to love Marty so much.  She was always one of my favorite people.

Marty was a quilting friend and mentor to me for many years. She was so ready to offer her assistance or advice at any time. I gained so much from her. She was .always ready to teach and share her many years of quilting. She once lent me a book of machine applique,which was out of print. She didn't rest until she found a copy for  me on Amazon..That was Marty,always thinking of ways to make individuals or the club better in any way she could help.
I will miss her generous ways, and her smiles and hellos,however, most of all, I will just miss Marty herself.
