Matthew Horton Williams, 65, of Glendale, Arizona entered heaven on October 1, 2021. Matthew was born in Harlem Hospital Manhattan, NY, on July 6, 1956, to Lucille Williams. He was the second of eight children.
Matthew grew up in Brooklyn where he attended Tilden High School and ultimately graduated from job Corp in 1974. Matthew pursued a vocational career where he studied welding, and pipe insulation, leading to his career as an Asbestos Removal Specialist. Matthew loved all types of work. He also, pursued a career in Truck driving (18 wheels) and Construction work where he worked for ACE Asphalt Company.
Words can hardly describe Matthew as his Love for his family was 100% sincere. He will call his mother (Mom-e-e-e) at least once a week to check-in with her just to reminisce about the good times, and the delicious home cooked meals he loved and miss so much. If you knew Matthew, you would know that he was a very proud man. He Loved jewelry, fashion and matching from head to toe. Even though he lived in Arizona, his clothes had to come from Brooklyn, NY. Via his baby sister Janu who he trusted to shop until she “dropped” for him. I will be remised if I did not mention one of Matthews’ favorites saying, “as long as I owe you, you will never go broke.” During his time as a truck driver, he met the Love of his life Patricia in Colorado. This encounter was magical, they were immediately attracted to each other. After a short courtship they were soon married. As husband and wife, they moved to Arizona in March of 1998 so that Patricia could pursue a new employment opportunity. Matthew’s love of the outdoors, eventually lead to a second career in landscaping.
