

Michael A Gurule, a resident of Phoenix Arizona, passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on November 30, 1932, in Fowler, Colorado. Michael was the youngest of six children born to Romolo and Josefita Gurule.
On November 4, 1953, Michael married the love of his life, Belia Coronado. Together, they shared 71 wonderful years, filled with love, adventure, and unwavering faith. Their union was blessed with six beautiful daughters and later in life, they lovingly, adopted their great-grandson, Michael.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Belia, five daughters: Blondie (Danny) Renteria, Becky Gurule, Vivian Dee, Rachel (Frank) Torres, and Lisse (Joey Bojorquez) Gurule, son: Michael Gurule, 16 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Diana Galindo, two grandsons Henry Perez Jr. And Charlie Galindo, great granddaughter, Honey Vega, his two brothers, Nash and Lawrence Gurule and three sisters, Mary Paquet, Elvera Garcia, and Elizabeth Lopez.
Michael’s life was marked by an honorable service in the United States Air Force, where he served as a fireman and worked in crash and rescue during the Korean War. Following his military service, he continued a life of dedication and hard work, retiring from Maricopa County after more than 30 years of service transporting heavy equipment. His strong work ethic and commitment to serving others remained a constant throughout his life.
Michael truly loved his family and his animals. Michael was known for his singing and loved to serenade his wife every chance he could. He loved deer hunting, fishing, golfing, the casinos and playing horseshoe and poker with the guys. Michael loved camping, especially during the summers in the white mountains with all his grandchildren. Most of all Michael loved his country and the Denver Broncos.
Funeral Services for Michael will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 6450 West Northern Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301. A viewing is scheduled for June 23, 2025. From 8:00 am to 9:00 am, followed by the funeral services starting at 9:00 am. Burial with military honors will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
