Dear Grandpa,

I had a dream about you last night, and I think it was more than just a dream, it felt like a message, a visit, or maybe my heart trying to find its way back to you.

In the dream, I was driving for hours to meet you at camp. It was just like something you’d do, waiting for me, ready to help, ready to pull the trailer so I wouldn’t have to carry the weight alone. That part felt so real. Even though you’re not physically here anymore, I still feel your presence, your guidance, and your quiet strength with me.

Along the way, I got sidetracked, pulled into an old memory, running into someone from my past. It reminded me how easy it is to get lost in other people’s stories, to get distracted from what really matters. But even in that moment, I knew what I truly wanted,  to get back to you. To find you. To see you again.

When I finally got to the campsite, it was empty. That part hurt. I think my heart still hopes to find you somewhere, like maybe if I look hard enough, you’ll be waiting there, just like you used to.

I kept going, trying to find my way, and ended up in a quiet meadow. It was beautiful, but I felt lost. And then I found myself heading down a dark road, trying to reach you, but I woke up before I got there.

I think that road was my grief. I’m still walking it. Still searching for you in the places that meant something to us. And I guess I just wanted to tell you… I miss you. I miss your jokes, your stories, your steady way of being there for me, even in silence. I miss your love, the kind that didn’t need words.

Thank you for everything you did for me while you were here, and for the ways you still show up. You’ll always be my guide, my strength, and my soft place to land. And even though I woke up before I could see you again, I know you’re not far. I carry you with me, in the quiet, in the laughter, and in every step I take forward.

Thank you, dad and mom for raising six beautiful independent daughters. You both have been a blessing to us in our family. You are the glue that keeps us together. Don’t know what we would’ve done without you. I’ll carry you in my heart forever and you’ll be in my mind every time I do something that I know you’re gonna say Rebecca you know better.

I miss you so much Daddy! A huge piece of my heart is gone and my life will never be the same without you!

Spending this last year with you Daddy was a precious gift and a true blessing that I will always honor and keep close to my heart!

Daddy I will forever love you deep down in my soul. I always love you and I am sorry for hurting you..,,,you did good….until I see you again take care of my little family I still need you….

I was so lucky that my dad introduced us to camping ⛺️ it was the best time of my youth and adult . We learned how it has it’s healing powers. I would cry when we had to go I still do  so my father thank you so much for giving what most people never got to experience

I was the boy dad never had…,, I gave him hell along the years . We used to tease mom that we all had different daddies but all my sisters agree I was differently his … so my father I was yours

My dad was the only father Anthony and Johnnie ever know. He was hard on them at times but had laughter along the way. My kids loved and are proud to be part of him. I will be forever grateful that he was part of their lives.

I ask grandpa why he had not considered being a donor for science.  He smiled and said “it takes a lot of guts”.  We both couldn’t stop laughing.  
It’s a happy memory for me.

I’m really glad I got to know Grandpa Mike. He was an inspiring man who truly loved his family and lit up when he was around them. He knew what was important in life, and I hope to live as long as he did and watch my own family grow the way he did.

I’ll always remember playing cards with him. He’d buy in all night just to win his money back at the end of the game! And I’ll never forget how he called me Christopher the entire time we knew each other.

I love you and will see you again soon.

In Loving Memory

My grandpa was a blessing to each and every one of us. To me, he was the definition of love. He was kind, patient, encouraging, and always full of heart. He had a quiet humor, a quirky way of making us laugh, and always made me feel safe.

There was never a moment in my life when I doubted his love for me and my family. He showed it in everything he did—through his words, his time, and the way he stood by us.

Our summers together are memories I will hold close forever. They were filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging that only he and grandma knew how to create. I can only hope to be even a fraction of who he was to my own children and grandchildren one day.

He gave so much of his life to his family and truly embodied what it means to be a family man.

One day, I know I’ll see you again.
Until then, I love you and miss you every single day.

Camping 2025.  Time to get some well deserved rest!

Thank you for all the great memories Grandpa Mike.  I will miss talking with you about family values, camping, hunting, Colorado and all of your incredible life stories.  Thank you for welcoming me into your wonderful family which you have built.  I’ve always had a lot of respect and looked up to you for keeping your family so close.  We send you all of our love.  May you rest in peace and we will see you again one day in God’s paradise.  I’ll bring the poker chips!

I will always remember the moments we had together. Thank you for always being there and encouraging me to keep singing even though I was shy. I am forever grateful that I got to sing with you on your 90th birthday. I miss you every day!

My grandpa was truly one of a kind. An amazing man who loved us with all his heart and always wanted the very best for each of us. Some of my favorite memories were camping in the White Mountains. Those mountains became our second home, a peaceful, joyful place where we felt truly connected. I pray that his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and future generations will continue to enjoy the White Mountains that he loved so much and so generously shared with his family. I also cherish the quiet moments we spent at the kitchen table, just talking, listening to his stories, and soaking in his wisdom.

Grandpa had a special bond with my family and me. He loved sitting down to play poker with Jr and the times he came over for a game, he would win, without fail. He adored my babies and would light up whenever he sang to them. His heart was especially full when Alyssa would sing and Aliyah and Alayna would dance. He absolutely loved having his family around and found such joy in those moments together. His love was deep and steady. His warmth made you feel safe and cherished, and there will never be another grandpa as special as him. His presence in our lives was a gift we will forever treasure.

Now, may he rest in the presence of Our Precious Lord and Savior, surrounded by peace and beauty. We will miss you forever, Grandpa.

Que pa’jo Viejo! This man has taught me so much. He’s helped mold me into the man I am today. Our coffee dates, camping trips, and house projects will never be forgotten. I would like to thank my family and friends from the bottom of my heart, for your kind words, your support, and for joining me by celebrating the beautiful life my beloved husband lived. 

I feel incredibly blessed to have shared 71 wonderful years, filled with lots of love.
Some of my most cherished memories with my husband was our summers that were spent camping with our grandchildren. He really loved when we would stop at Hondah Casino on our way back from getting groceries. We would take the kids to the arcade and me and my husband would go gamble, of course he was always a winner!! It was true happiness for us both. 

Another one of my husbands joys in life, was having a full table at Thanksgiving, surrounded by family all waiting for him to say grace. 

My husband served his country with pride in the United States Air Force, and that is a part of his life that he carried with quiet strength and deep honor.

My husband’s spirit lives in each of us, and I know he would want nothing more, than for his family and friends  to live life fully, to always be together and love each other no matter what. Please continue to honor his legacy by doing just that.

It seems like there just wasent enough time with you. I'll never forget everything you have taught me, no matter how annoying I was when you would be trying to teach Me something and I wouldn't be able to keep focus but you still taught me the diffinitions of Love and Family.  I love you gramps and I'm so honored and blessed to be Named after YOU! I will continue to carry our name with pride, honor and Respect. Just as you did. I love you Gramps aka DAD!
