I missed you dearly on Father's Day Dad. Your big hugs mean more to me now than ever I knew.  I love you

I'm just hearing of this news. Mike was my neighbor, Golf Buddy and friend when I lived in Mansfield TX. He was a great guy that always made you feel good about yourself.  My prayers to his family

I met Mike for the First time last month. However when I met him at his home; he made me feel like family. I was just the "Cabinet guy" (Mike referred me by) but I wanted to be around him more. I keep beating myself up for not going to see him at the bar the week prior to his passing. (He seemed to do that a lot, invite others to happy hour) May we all have one last drink for a Great Grandfather, Husband, Dad & Man! You will be missed. - "The Cabinet Guy"

I cannot express the level of sadness and pain I feel over the loss of Mike. My heart goes out to his family, as this was so unexpected. Thank you for your kindness to my sister, to me, and to everyone you knew Mike. Thank you for the memorable rides and for introducing us to so many good people. I will never forget you. Start exploring the routes up in heaven so we can join you on another ride when the time comes.

Mike I didn't know you very well, just when I would fuss at you for forgetting your laundry ! You would just flash that cute smile at me and go it! I will miss seeing you riding off to a fun filled day going somewhere. I secretly wished that you would have asked me to go a ride sometime, but I probably would have broken a rib holding on so tight !!! Gonna miss you !

Be thankful for all the wonderful years you shared with him, and the special memories that will always be with you. Many years have passed, but I will never forget his kindness and compassion at a time it was greatly needed.  Mike was a good man. Prayers for each of you as you mourn the loss of your loved one.

I was Mike's neighbor in Sun City.  I met him once and saw him often on his bike.  He was enjoying every minute.  Rest In Peace.

I have known Mike for 30 years and we had many good times. I am so happy that I worked in Phoenix 2 years ago and was able to play golf, go to happy hour and dinner with mike several times.

I have known Mike for over 30 years and have worked together, skied, golf and drank together.  I got to see Mike a couple times this year when he was visiting Dallas and talk about old times.  Mike it was my honor to call you a friend and colleague.  Rest in piece Mike.

I was so sad to hear that you had left us. A light like yours will never die. Missing you.

I only worked briefly with Mike this past year, but I found him to be a positive, open and friendly guy.  Very sad to hear of his passing.

He always went out of his way to make people feel comfortable. Such a happy person. Loved his smile and sense of humor!

Mike lead the first SRS ride that I went on. He also led the last time I rode with him. We made it from Prescott to Wickenburg under an hour. He had a head start after each stop and every time I caught up he had a huge smile on his face.
A smile can never be a taken away, but can be lost in a moment of time. Like tears in rain. Farewell my friend.

I am both shocked and saddened by the news of Mike's passing.  I really enjoyed working with Mike and have very much missed working with him since my departure from SRP.  I considered him a friend and I will miss the fact that he is no longer here on earth with us and getting to hear once in while that he said, "Hello".

I have such great memories of Mike. He was the very cool cousin who had great cars and motorcycles and that laugh was contagious. Rest in Peace cousin Mike. My deepest sympathy to all the Shannon family.

Mike Shannon: You were a dear friend during my high school years. After decades of losing touch with each other I looked forward to our planned reunion after Thanksgiving and catching up on what life had brought you. I will miss you and the gathering you had planned. Your good life was cut short much too soon. My thoughts and prayers will be with you today at the services even though I am miles away.

Mike, may your soul rest in peace knowing that you favorably impacted many lives.  You made everyone around you feel at ease and part of the family.

Pop you made me feel like family from the first time we met. You were larger than life in every way! You were the life of the party. You will be missed but never forgotten. I'm blessed to have had you in my life. Until we meet again.....

Mike we had only reconnected a month ago.  I was instantly amazed at your riding ability and knowledge of the trails so near us.  I saw you at Bike Nite weekly and even saw you on Thursday night.  May the Harley Gods give you a new ride where you can explore the back roads of Heaven.  You will be missed by your friends and classmates.

In loving memory of a dear friend.  My heart hurts so much for the family.  Mike was always bigger than life and it's hard to believe he is gone.  That laugh, those blue eyes, those crazy stories.  He certainly enjoyed life and had so many friends that will greatly miss him.  Goodbye for now, Shanny Butt, love you and will miss you!

Mike has been a colleague and friend for many years. He really loved his family and will surely be missed by all.

It was shocking and heartrending to hear of your loss.  I worked with Mike a very short time but I think of him as a quiet gentle man and a very important part of our team.

Mike was great team player on our Team Trivia Meetup on Wednesdays at 7 pm.  We were so sad to hear of his passing and he will surely be missed.  May all the good memories of him comfort his family.
