

Olga E. Moore-Burton passed away at age 75 on March 30, 2017 in Glendale Arizona due to colon cancer. Olga was born December 4, 1941 in Guatemala, in Central America to Prospero Noriega and Claudia Perez-Noriega. Olga loved animals since she was a child. She came to New York in 1963 at the age 21 where she met and married John J. Moore. In 1968 they moved to Baldwin Park, California where she attended and graduated from Los Angeles College in 1969 and started working in health care. David her only child was born in 1972. She was widowed in 1974 and decided to move to Glendale, Arizona in 1976 to be with her mother. Two years later Olga met and married Reverend Victor V. Burton. They opened a small landscape company called Pyramid Hauling. Olga and her husband founded the “Family of Christ Church Inc.” in Coolidge, Arizona in 1985 (formerly known as “The Jesus name Church of Coolidge” since the 1940’s). The couple served the community for the next 20 plus years by ministering the Word of God and also started a second community church in Sun Valley, Arizona in 2002 pastored by Reverend Bob Marshall. They retired in 2005, but remained faithful to God. Olga enjoyed her pet cats and dog and loved to help any animals she came in contact with. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Reverend Victor V. Burton, son David S. Moore (Alicia), mother Claudia Noriega-Moreland (98 years old), brother Mario H. Noriega (Blanca) and her step grandson Robert Garza Jr. She was preceded in death by her father Prospero Noriega in 2010 and one brother Humberto Noriega in 1967. Visitation to be held on Thursday April 13, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary ; Funeral services Friday April 14, 2017 at 10:00 am also at at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary . Pastor Reverend Steven Crow of Souls Harbor Church of Glendale will be officiating.
