

Olin E. Castleberry, a third-generation Arizonan, passed away on May 19, 2013. He was born to Verdis "Curley" and Verna (Morse) Castleberry on October 18, 1936 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Olin leaves his wife Kathleen (Mahoney) and son, Verdis (Marcy) and grandchildren Michael, Joshua, and Zachary.
Olin attended the Washington Elementary School in Phoenix and graduated from Glendale Union High School in 1955. Olin married the love of his life Kathleen and moved back to Flagstaff to work with his father in development and home construction. He attended Northern Arizona State University. In 1965 Olin returned to Phoenix to work for the Arizona Department of Public Safety under early badge #273/ In 1972 Olin became a Veterans Administration Compliance Inspector. Three years later he assumed independent quality control for Presley Enterprises Ahwatukee division of Arizona.
Following his retirement, Olin and his wife developed the Apache Tear Ranch near the Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park.
He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt, fish and camp. God blessed Olin with the special ability to make those around him laugh. He never failed to thank and compliment those he loved and those he didn't even know. The world will be less joyful with him gone.

Rosary will be at 7 PM May 27, 2013 at the Chapel Of The Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85301. Services (Mass) will be held at 10 AM on May 28, 2013 at St. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ, 85017. Burial following at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, Arizona, 85301.
