It's an honor to be named after such a beautiful and fun-loving woman.  I have so many enjoyable memories of spending time in the summers at her house.  The water fights were epic, and the cereal collection was legendary.  It was a carefree and super fun place to spend time. I loved staying there with my siblings and swimming all day. I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face or laughing. I will miss you!

Growing up next door to my aunt my memories are filled with so many fun days, on summer nights we'd ride our bikes around with her. Of course the famous water fights which she usually started good clothes and all ,. As a teenager I tried to copy everything she did diets exercise plans, in the summer Robert and Rachel would let me drive their crazy fast car on Central avenue and she even let me Pierce her ears, she was always laughing and smiling.

I remember staying at Aunt Rachel’s in the summer and how much fun it was.  Swimming, playing with Thomas’s Star Wars toys on the stairs,  eating the best cereal and seeing Jaws for the first time.   Her house was so much fun and I loved staying there.  

I will always remember her smile and warmth. Her love of the holiday season was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced before. I hope the memories of wonderful times together help the Davenport/Kearns family through this very difficult time. 

Oh Rachel, the sweetest/kindest most gentle badass I’ve known. You were so respected and loved. I am sad you’re gone. Sending the same love and strength you gave out, back to your family. 

I am very proud to have worked with Rachael Davenport, from the Bechtel construction Days at Palo Verde to APS Operations of the Nuclear facility.  She was a pioneer welder in the trade and in the nuclear operation of the plant she was one of the first women leaders.  I have the deepest respect for how she conducted business and treated other workers and  support teams.  She paved the way for many women and tradesman in her craft, God bless you and your family.

IT was an honor and a privilege to work alongside Rachel and to have her as my boss. Rachel truly appreciate and cared about her crew and we all knew it, her crew would have marched through hell and back if she was to ask us to because we knew she would never ask us to do anything she wasn’t willing to do herself. The Palo Verde weld shop lost the best boss they have ever had when she left. May the good lord keep you in his arms Rachel and bless your family .

It was a great privilege to work with and for Rachel.  She will be missed.  Condolences to the family.

I had the privilege to work for Rachel for a few outages. She was always in a good mood and treated us better than we deserved. She was the reason a bunch of Kansas and Missouri boys kept coming back to work, half a country away from home. The world will truly miss her amazing spirit 

One awesome lady. As Matt said she was probably the best boss ever. She treated all of us like her kids. Even when we disappointed her (skip work to go to diamondback games) she still showed us the greatest appreciation when we showed back up. I never heard a harsh word out of her even though we deserved them. I haven’t seen her in 20 years but I still think about her often. You will be missed. 

As a child, I have vivid memories of fantastical christmas parties at aunt Rachel’s and uncle Bob’s. The small living room was filled with hundreds of wrapped gifts around a tree that was half as wide as the room.  Rachel had something for everyone and her joy was inclusive and loving. She touched everyone with her kind energy. 

Rachel was a true lady. She had many family gatherings and loved greeting everyone with a smile at her Christmas open house which she and John hosted every year! She treated me as a family member and I truly loved her. Such a gracious lady and friend.

Rachel was my supervisor during outages in the early 2000’s, the absolute best boss that I’ve ever had. Knowledgeable, fair, stern and funny all wrapped into one. She took care of her Midwest welders like we were her own kids and we all admired and respect her to this day. You’ll be missed Rachel. Thoughts and prayers to your family from ours.
