Rose B. Forney

Rose (Bracamonte) Forney, 92 of Phoenix, AZ went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 19, 2015. She was born in Miami, AZ to Pedro and Elvia Bracamonte on August 3, 1922. She is the last to survive her immediate family of Bracamontes. Rose attended Bullion Plaza Elementary and Miami High School. She sang in the church choir with her mother playing the piano. She worked at her brother’s El Rey restaurant in Globe. She met and married Merrill Forney, moved to Phoenix in 1953, where they raised six children. She was one of the first to work for Garcia’s Restaurant until the early 70’s, she also worked at Mitchell School in the Isaac School District. Rose liked listening to music, traveling to Mexico, Paris and other States in the summer with her husband. Rose is survived by her children and their spouses, Thomas (Marleen) Arrona, Irene Arrona Shockey, Richard (Charleen) Arrona, Jeff (Lori) Forney, Kathy (Eddie) Lopez, and Gary Forney, 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A viewing and Rosary (6:30pm) will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5 - 8 pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ. A funeral mass will be held at Sts. Simon and Jude Cathedral ,6351 N 27th Ave in Phoenix, Az on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, AZ.
