We had not had the pleasure of meeting Scott in person until this year, but my husband and I had been working with Louise at Wings for more than two years. They say apples do not fall far from trees, and we expected Scott would be exactly like his mother. As his mother gives unrelentlessly, Scott turned no one away from seeing him throughout his suffering. It was as if he knew we needed his comfort as much as he needed ours. We know Scott walks with the Saints and Angels in the presence of Our Lord and Blessed Lady. Our true hope is that as we pray for Scott and his family, may he be praying for us.

God saw Scott's road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed his weary eyelids and whispered "Peace be thine". It broke our hearts to lose Scott, but he did not go alone, for part of us went with him, the day God called him home.

Scott was a kind and gentle soul.  He cared deeply for his family and others.  Scott seemed to live his life beyond the rush most of us get caught up in -- in his own thoughtful way.  His selfless giving is an inspiration.

May the Lord wipe away all pain and tears and bestow His peace that passes all understanding.

Scott we only knew you for a little while, and bless you for being the kind of person you were...one strong young man. Rest now, you did your deed down here.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child.  Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.
