Susan Renee Peltier

Susan Renee Peltier was born in Phoenix, Az. She is married to Steven Peltier, they have three children named Breeana, Andrew and Tyler. Her Mother is Dianne Schaefer and her Father is Jim Schaefer. She has a younger sister named Debbie Axlid and a younger brother named Jon Schaefer. She has family that reside in Arizona, and across the United States. Her Sister Debbie lives in Sweden with her husband Gunnar and family. She was a Beautiful Wife, Loving and Caring Mother. She was a Caring Daughter, Sister, Niece, Aunt, Granddaughter. The perfect Cousin and Friend to many, many people. When she married Steven she was the perfect fit for him and his family to carry on her infectious personality. She has nieces and nephews that she loved very much and love her just as much.

She went to Trinity Mennonite church in Glendale, Az. She has been going there since she was born. Her parents have been going there a long time because their parents started the church. Arlene and Marlin Schaefer are the original members of the church. She participated in the Sunday School program and had fun in class and had many church opportunities to help others.

In 1987, Susan went to Tolleson Union High School. That is where she met Steven, he was getting on the bus the first day of school. She saw him, Steven saw her and they both knew there was an instant connection. Losing that close friendship was never in question when Steven left for the Military in 1988 after graduation. Susan graduated in 1990 and always kept in contact with Steven, even from an occasional phone call oversees. She worked as a cashier at a local store and started to take College courses for a Teaching Degree.

In July of 1992 Steven came back home to Arizona after the spending four years in Japan. Susan and Steven talked about being roommates and decided to move in together and split the rent. Then they took the next step to discuss dating, then later got married in September of 1996. Steven joined the Naval Reserves for a couple of years, so that made her a Military Wife. The Lord blessed them with Three Wonderful children named Breeana, Andrew, and Tyler.

In 1998 Susan worked at Souper Salad as a Server. She worked at the location in Glendale, Az until their rent hike. Then she got transferred to the one near Metro Center Mall in Phoenix, AZ. That Mall was the place that her, and I, and friends hung out at in high school. That Souper Salad location shut down in April of 2020 due to business hardships. She was unemployed for a long time but never lost her purpose to help the kids and family and friends. Steven supported her as always, emotionally and with laughter. In 2021 Susan got a job at Highland Lakes High school working with special needs kids, who all adored her.

She liked taking walks, reading a lot of mystery novels and romance novels. She liked to go to the family cabin and play games, eat smores, and play in the snow. When the summer family vacations came, she loved the time all could be together and create lasting memories. She also enjoyed Thanksgiving to spend with the family, and Christmas with the family. During Christmas she loved all the music that went with it. She was a 80’s lady and loved that decade of music, but when the Holiday music was playing, she had priorities.

A visitation for Susan will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A remembrance will occur Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Trinity Mennonite Church, 4334 W. Vista Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301.
