She was the daughter of Jesus M. Armenta and Concepcion R. Armenta. She had six children: Cita (Luis), Louis, Joe (Caroline), Angie (D. Rico), Michael, and Erlinda (D. Max). She had five grandchildren: Ricardo, Patricia, Veronica, Angelita, and Luis, along with five great-grandchildren: Xavier, Victoria, Makayla, Leila, and Alyssa.
As a young girl, she started working in the cotton fields picking different types of produce. At age 7, her mother taught her how to cook tortillas and all other types of dishes. At age 21 she married Luis R. Rios. They were married for 65 years until his passing. Tomasa enjoyed time with her family and loved watching the Cardinals, or as she called them, the Pajaritos.
A funeral service for Tomasa will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 9:00 AM at West Resthaven Funeral Home (6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301).
