Trinidad Silva

Trinidad Saenz Silva, 89 of Phoenix passed peacefully on September 7th 2013 after battling liver cancer. She was born in Laredo Texas and moved to Arizona shortly after marrying the love of her life, Rosario E. Silva. They both raised 10 children together in Phoenix and Laveen. Trinidad worked tirelessly as a seamstress for over 50 years and loved to cook and sew for her family and friends. Her strength and talents were truly amazing. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and loving husband of 53 years and her eldest son Rosario Silva Jr. She is survived by her 9 children, Rosa Anderson, Mary Silva, Olga Silva, Jesse Silva, Roger Silva, Sandra Lahaie, (Larry) Gilbert Silva, Estella Silva (Roger) Carolyn Sekiya (Tim), 27 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern, Glendale 85301. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla St, in Glendale with burial following the mass at West Resthaven Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern, Glendale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley Ryan House, 110 Merrell St, Phx, AZ or St. Mary’s Food Bank. The family greatly appreciates all the support of family and friends.
