Vieneta married Jerry McCoy on December 21, 1951; they shared 66 years of marriage prior to his passing on August 28, 2018.
She is survived by her daughter Amy (Gary) Sorensen, two grandsons Noah & Ben, sister Millie Liebert, five nephews David Dienst, Jeremy Dienst, James Dienst, Randy Liebert & Fred Liebert and two nieces Karen Miller & Sharon Shaw.
In addition to her parents, Vieneta was preceded in death by her stepmother Anna Gardner Liebert, brother Fred Liebert, sister LaVerne Tracey, brother-in-law and sister-in-law John & Sherilyn Dienst and niece Dinah Dienst. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 2PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W. Dobbins Road, Phoenix, AZ 85041.
