In loving memory of our beautiful mother and matriarch Virginia Alice Kennedy, born in Elmira, Missouri on February 25, 1940. Sadly, she passed away on April 24, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona. There are never enough words to say what she means to her children, and all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Arabelle Mullin, husband Walter Kennedy, sister Mabel Mullin, brother Robert Swafford, son David McCrellias, niece Terry Sue Metz and her loving cat Nala and puppies Brandy and Penny. She is survived by her daughters Diana, Donna, Willa and Patty, sons Michael and Don, nephews Bill Metz and Richard Mullin, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. And two sweet, loving puppies, Marilyn a.k.a. Doc, Jewel, and many sweet, loving kitties.
She lived her life to the fullest, with one of the kindest, biggest, and most loving hearts. She was a kind, loving daughter. She was the world’s most amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend. Anyone who met her loved her and knew what a kind person she was.
There are never enough words to express our family’s sorrow of not only losing our mother but the matriarch of our family. She will be missed beyond what words can convey and will always be remembered as the beautiful, kind-hearted, loving, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, daughter, friend that anyone could ever ask for.
A memorial will not be held by request of the family. In lieu of flowers (of which she did not like), we ask that you consider a donation to a charity of your choice. Her favorites were anything for research on cancer, assistance for the veterans, and organizations to help pets or children.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ChapeloftheChimesMortuary.com for the Kennedy family.
