Uncle Bill,  you are still deeply missed.  My birthday is August 31 so it is a sad time to celebrate it without you. But, I was blessed to have had you to help me celebrate it for so many years. I got me a little white dog last August. We named him Jazz. You would just love him. He is so smart. He is  Pomeranian and poodle mix and weighs only 9 pounds. He is a lot of company for me. Just wanted you to know that we are still thinking of you.

Dad, how can it be two years since you left. I know you are with Mildred, Mikey and the rest of your family, but I miss you being here. 
I miss seeing your smile, hearing your voice, sharing stories with you. I miss all the lovely creations you made and seeing your beautiful flowers.

Dad, how has it been a year already. 😥

One year ago today I lost the last living sibling from my mother's side of our family. Uncle Willie wrote me letters every week, talking about his love of flowers, his family, and going to Goodwill to find books to read. I miss those letters. I know he's no longer in pain and is in heaven with his entire family. Until we meet again,  ❤️

Bill and I met 47 years ago. as we got to know each other he started calling me his daughter, even before I was engaged to his son.  After the wedding there was no In-law involved, just daughter. Bill was a loving, creative,  kind, social, funny man. We shared many happy times as well as a few sad ones. I remember when he and Mildred came to visit us in Arizona with our dog Kiss.  A trip to the White Tank Mountain park ended up with the dog getting cactus thorn in his paw. Bill was able to remove it easily. Another time we all went to the saguaro park in Tucson. Mildred sat down on some type of box to rest. When she got up we discovered a rattlesnake in the bottom of the box..YIKES. After 17 years Bill’s son and I separated, however he and Mildred remained part of my family. They soon moved to Arizona, along with Mikey.  Mildred would call and tell me Ragzy (dog)missed me. She was so cute. I would end up spending the afternoon over there cutting his hair. I spent the afternoon with Bill the day we lost Mildred, helping him make the arrangements. A few months later on Mother’s Day Bill asked if Mom and I would go with him and Mikey to spread Mildred‘s ashes. I was honored when he asked me to say a prayer, during which the balloons released themselves I am certain Mildred was with us. We did many craft projects, puzzles and other activities. I always enjoyed seeing his many beautiful flowers. I will always cherish the beautiful pillow he cross-stitched for me. We shared many suppers and Thanksgiving dinners over the years. This past Christmas he honored me by giving me a hug and telling me I would always be his girl.  I was with him the day, unbeknownst to any of us, he left the apartment he shared with Mikey for the last time.  Bill, I will always love you I will never forget you

Uncle Bill was my favorite Uncle.  As far back as I can remember Uncle Bill babysat me. I spent vacations with him  every year. He took me to movies, took me for tides on the bus. I was flower girl at his wedding. He bought me my first record player, he taught me how to needlepoint. One summer he was babysitting me while my (his sister) was in hospital having my brother he opened the refrigerator door and we stood in front of it to cool off. He did fun things like that all the time. When I graduated high school and went to a Des Moines business I stayed with him and Aunt Mildred (his wife) for few months.

You were and will always be loved, remembered  and cherished.

Uncle Bill as I knew him, will forever be in my heart.  I will always remember him showing me and my Grandmother (his sister) his new plants. I think that is why I'm so interested in plants. One more great memory was he took me as a little girl to see the movie Benji about a little dog. I will never forget those days. Thank you Uncle Bill. I will miss you and always think of you. 

Uncle Willie was a top notched uncle. While living in Iowa, he was involved in my younger years before moving to Arizona. He made my pilgrim costume for a Thanksgiving school program...making me the best pilgrim in the play!  He always bought from every fund raiser I had through my Brownie troop. I loved going to his house to see the beautiful flowers in his back yard. I was always impressed with his artistic talents. I'll miss our monthly letters, hearing about the hot Arizona temperatures, his beautiful flowers at his apartment, and his pride of his family. Rest in peace my favorite uncle.  ❤️❤️

This was the day of my high school graduation in 2019. Willis was my grandfather and I loved him very much. He will always be in my memories ❤️
