

Huntimer, Yetta Jean (Gershon) was born in San Diego, CA April 11, 1923. She passed away at the age of 91 on March 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Virgil "Slim" Huntimer. She is survived by her children, Kenneth, Linda, and Maureen and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Yetta was known as a passionate neighborhood and church leader. She and her husband, were instrumental in fundraising for the building of St. Gregory Catholic School and Church. Additionally, Yetta and Virgil helped build, maintain and operate the Shrine of St. Joseph in Yarnell, AZ. Her accomplishments were many. She was a dedicated scout leader, and inspirational Carnegie Instructor, a Member of the Chamber of Commerce, President of the Business and Professional Woman's Association, a senior escrow officer and Vice President of a title company, which included managing three escrow offices. Yetta loved to make people laugh. She graduated from ASU Clown College and enjoyed entertaining seniors and shut-ins. In her own words,Yetta was often heard to say "I have had the most wonderful life anyone could ever imagine".

Celebration of Life: March 12, 2015 11am.
Internment to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ
