Florence E. Harper Burns

Florence “Frankie” Elizabeth Harper Burns, born August 6, 1922, passed May 27, 2015, 11:45 am in her home. Frankie was born in Cullman, Alabama the eldest daughter of nine children. She was married in 1943 to William Arthur Burns, who passed January 19, 1969, in Dallas, Texas. Their marriage produced four children, Johnnie Elizabeth “Beth”, Rebecca Joyce “Becky”, William Donald “Don” and Brenda Kay Burns. She is survived by Beth, Don and Brenda. Rebecca “Becky” passed October 13, 2006. Frankie has two grandchildren, Rocky Larsen of Texas and Rani Gambrel of California and three great grandchildren. A Southern Lady of much humor, a strong desire to survive and enjoyed her children. Her husband, Johnny Burns, was an entertainer passing his talents to his children. Frankie lived an exciting life with her husband, then with her children. She was a terrific Mother, teacher, friend, partner, no words can express her outstanding personality. She maintained her youthful attitude throughout her life and was exposed to many wonderful experiences. Frankie will be missed by her family and her many friends. No words can express her desire to live, Mother would have been 93 years young in two months and ten days. She will be missed tremendously by us all.
