MENSAJE DE LA FAMILIA
Thank you for visiting our mother Precy Adriatico’s Memorial Website. Her children Jennifer Adriatico ~ Westad & Joel “Jay” Adriatico, Jr. are happy you are able to pay your respects, and that she has touched your life in some way. Precy will be sorely missed. Please understand that Jay & his family have been utilizing social distancing measures for everybody’s health & wellbeing. It is nothing personal, & if need be they will politely & respectfully remind you as such. A reminder to wear your masks/shields, use effective hand hygiene products/practices, and actively practice social distancing, with minimal to no physical contact for cautionary protection. For the viewing portion: Please note that as far as refreshments go, due to the strict guidelines at this time, we cannot do the usual open buffet/potluck party style spread that we as Filipinos - our mother included on how she would normally do things, are accustomed to. Porto's to-go boxes & soda will be available. True to form, should you be inclined to contribute some additional refreshments but are under no obligation, please make sure they are package sealed or capped. Since there have been other Filipino funerals done during this time of social distancing, while the to-go box is not necessarily traditional but has currently become the new norm, it is up to your comfort and belief level should you decide to consume everything on site and/or conveniently take with you. Jenn & Jay did their best to properly estimate the attendance count. The visitation services at 1PM on Mon 1/11/21 will be held outdoors, so bring warm clothing as it is Winter in Glendale. Rosary is at 3PM to be lead by one of her friends, then one or both of her grandsons will say a few words. We intend on finishing up by 4PM prior to sundown. So please note it will be held between 1 - 4PM. They've designed it where people can properly space out, or appropriately stay in their protective bubbles. It is highly suggested to have uninterrupted visitation, you come between 1-3PM. Coincidentally, her Memorial Services in the Philippines will be at the church she was destined to build ~ The St. Joseph the Worker Chapel in Nadsaag, San Juan, La Union on the same day headed up by her family there. Funeral on Tue 1/12/21 will start at Holy Trinity in Atwater at 11AM. Fr. Ricardo is discouraging hugging each other during this time, which is the natural thing to do so even more so it must be mentioned. It will be held outdoors, so while the immediate space they use could be filled under social distancing guidelines, we do have more liberties it being outside as well for everyone in attendance to go. Limited count indoors should the weather not cooperate with us, which we will only address as necessary. Please note that the grade school will be having their lunch recess at Noon. There will be a little time in between as the burial itself at the cemetery site will be at 1:30PM. However, it is not simple to get there once you enter Forest Lawn & should you get separated can get lost. Since it is around the lunch time frame, please be prepared to have a snack & water on you should you need it. There, impromptu eulogies from everyone are welcome. The resting site is alongside our father Joel Sr., Uncle Luis A., and Lola Conching, so for those that haven't attended previously it is on a steep hill going down. Feel free to bring a travel chair for self social distancing & for comfort purposes. Please be careful going down. Also, you might want to consider wearing appropriate shoes to wear on grass and on a hill decline. Please note that there will be nothing planned beyond the conclusion of Precy’s burial service itself, due to our current situation in L.A. County during these uncertain times. Her children will still not be opening up her home, and we ask that you allow those that lived with her to themselves. We thank you for taking time out of your lives for those that will be in attendance, as well as those who have paid their respects from afar. We hope once everything clears, her relatives want to do a more proper send off closer to what we are accustomed to in her honor in the future. Thank you for loving our mother Precy. Pallbearers: 1. Joel (Jay) Adriatico, Jr. (Son) 2. AJ Adriatico (Grandson) 3. Jaedon Adriatico (Grandson) 4. Erik Westad (Son-in-law) 5. Gio Haff (Jay’s Best Friend) 6. Miguel Soto (Jay’s Brother-in-law) Gio & Miguel spent many Christmases in Precy’s home throughout the years, including the last one in 2019 where everyone was thankfully together that year.
