Close to her siblings who passed before her, Frank, Freida and Josie. They raised their families together, niece's- Betty, Cathy, Sandy and Luann, nephews- Joe, Frank and Michael…she called each one her favorite! Lots of gatherings throughout the years, picnics, barbecues, birthday parties… All of us cousins remain close.
Anna graduated from Grover Cleveland High School and had her eye on the boy next door, she ended up marrying that boy Teddy in 1950 - 52 years together! They raised their 3 daughters, Nancy, Susan and Carol on Bleeker Street in Ridgewood among lots of other young families with kids, great time had by all!
In ‘69, they moved the family to a home in Glendale, that mom called her “little piece of heaven“. She was a very sweet, kind and generous lady and the whole neighborhood knew her and dad. She had a deep faith in God and walked to Sacred Heart from 76th street every Sunday until it became too difficult. She was a great cook and the family especially enjoyed her roast beef dinner and famous macaroni salad with tuna. She made it for years but always worried if it had turned out right…it always did.
Anna loved bowling, she was on a league for many years and made her lifelong friends. She enjoyed the senior center with her friends , played bingo and took trips to Atlantic City. Yep, she liked to gamble!
In the end, as her daughters cared for her at home, she maintained her sense of humor and could still guess the Wheel of Fortune puzzles! She had no fear of death due to her strong faith and passed peacefully as she wished. She was loved by many and will surely be missed by all.
