I just heard of your passing John and am very sad your time came so young. As my neighbor 2 doors down and best friend, we did everything together for most of our years in Woodhaven. PS 97,  both junior high schools, hundreds of hours on the tennis courts, cycling all over the city and all through forest park, kickball in the street,  getting chips, ice cream, candy and bubblishious at the corner candy store, hanging around with Frank and Michael, throwing snow balls at passing cars and running when they chased us, first job together delivering circulars, etc. I have countless wonderful memories of the times we shared together. We never had to prove anything to each other and just appreciated  what a great friendship we had. May God bless you and comfort your family in such a trying time. Heaven is a better place with you there. You will be missed my friend....

     John, I am sad to hear of your passing.  I thought when this pandemic swept the world, this would start to happen.  People wouldn't have those second chances, there would be no next time, no see you laters, bands would never patch things up, real feelings wouldn't get explained. 
     Woodhaven really tied us all together, right?  John, we shared dinner with you a while back, and drinks, no doubt, in honor of the great Mona Mintz.  And you were that same kid from way back when.  Friendly, funny, and handsome.  I remember heading home and thinking I need to start buying better clothes and look into joining a gym.  
     I'm glad we have this picture of us together.  I will miss you John.

My deepest and sincerest condolences to your family and friends John. You were a beautiful soul, with a wonderful heart and a beautiful smile that touched all of us. I have known you since 3rd grade , our last reunion was a wonderful gathering and you had the best stories. You will be greatly missed.  

My sincere sympathies to your family and friends John.  I'm so sorry to hear of your passing.  John was the kindest of the kind.  We went to elementary school together.  Every year we, the gang, were all together.  John was a great friend and a very good student.  Everyone loved John.  I was blessed to see him about five years ago at our 5th grade reunion.  As always, John was happy and friendly.  A dear sweet man.  May he rest in peace with the angels.  God Bless.

I went to high school with John, and we attended Queens College together. He was a good friend and possessed a sparkling sense of humor.  We were estranged for many years, but reconnecting with him in 2019 made me very happy. He was the same good man he always was. I'll miss him. 

My sincerest condolences to his loved ones. 

John always treated me with such kindness and dignity. My heart goes out to his friends and family. He will be sorely missed.
