Normally at this time of year we would all sit at the table at your moms house and laugh, talk, drink, and feast together.  I cherish those times.

Hi I knew Joe when he was born it was something  how I found out was about Joey pass away every time I pass the funeral parlor where his father was I always wanted to get touch with Joey to say hello so I look up his name that was in Shock please give everyone my sympathy I was good friends with his father  And the family. Hey, 
This Thanksgiving I am thankful that you are my cousin Joe. I always felt like you should have been my older brother rather than my cousin, because we had so much in common.
 Without you there to sit with us at the table, and share food, drinks, and funny stories  it won't ever be the same. But wherever we, your family are, you will be fondly thought of, and sorely missed.
I am thankful that you and Ingrid had such a wonderful marriage and that you both had so many years of love, and happiness together. A rare thing to find in this world. 
I am thankful that you had such an awesome, loving mother and sister who are both nothing but good and pure.
I am thankful that I have the luck to be blessed with all of you as my family. 
If I had it my way I would have been the youngest  sister to you and  Margaret because not only would  it have been cool, but it would be so awesome to have had your mom as my mother too.
Will be thinking of you all, and will drink to you all this Thanksgiving

I worked with Joe in the late 80's, early 90's at Shearson Lehman Brothers. even though we had not spoken in many years, news of his passing was a tremendous shock to me. He was a mentor in both my career and life.  I will always remeber his great generosity and his gift to be able to tell a story, that would fit an occasion perfectly and left everyone laughing.  Joe, this world will sorely miss you.  God Bless, Rest in Peace.

It seems like yesterday I spoke to my friend Joe. It was 6 months ago and yet I feel as if I was coming home from work when he called just the other night. I hadn't seen him in a few years but thought about him a lot wanting to call and get together for drinks and some laughs. The time never seemed right.  We spoke about going to the country house with the dogs and fishing in the stream. It's sad to think that we were such good friends and yet could not find the time to just hang out.  Joe always had a line for any occasion. I think his favorite was he needed to see a man about a horse.  I spoke to my wife a dozen times saying that I need to go see him but didn't make it.  Now he's gone and I miss him already.  We use to go for drinks once a week with clients and talk about how we could change the world.  The first drink always started with a toast. The one that sticks in my mind is Here's to us and men like us, Damn few left. I'm sad because now there's one less. 

Joe was a very generous guy always insisting on picking up the tab when we went out. We had lots of laughs everywhere we went.  Joe loved his dogs and he spoke of them a lot. Ingrid was his love but whenever we spoke about her he would say don't tell her it would go to her head. Many years ago Joe had serious head surgery and liked to tell the story of how it happened. He would joke how Ingrid thought she rocked his world. Joe was an awful poker player.  One time at our friend George's house Joe had to keep going to the hip to fund his hand saying the next hand was his. Joe liked his cars and his coffee. Joe would joke like most of us about how he needed it to kick start his day.  He would always take that a step further like most things he did and said.

Joe wherever you are I hope the coffee is strong, the dogs are playful and the cars are fast.  We miss you big shooter.

JOE, YOU'VE BEEN ONE OF THE BEST PEOPLE I'VE EVER DONE WORK FOR. WILL MISS YOU AND YOUR APPRECIATION OF QUALITY. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MORE THAN A CUSTOMER. YOU'VE BEEN A FRIEND WHO IS MISSED ALREADY.

We are so sorry for your loss.  He will be missed but not forgotten.  A memory is a keepsake of time that lives forever in the heart.  With deepest sympathy may he rest in peace.

You are a man among men!! Rest in peace, dear friend, knowing that you touched the lives of many and left an imprint on our hearts.  We will miss you terribly!

I first met Joe at the funeral for another family member. Upon meeting him while he stood over me, the first two things he asked me were: what were my intentions with his cousin and what was I doing with my life. We talked over a cigarette and I learned that this man large in stature had a heart to match. He will be missed greatly and I know he is with his loved ones in heaven, at peace, watching down on us.

Cousin Joey..I wish I got to see you more, but you were certainly loved very much. Thank you for being the best you that you can be, and for making me smile every time you were around..I will miss you forever

Cousin Joe,
Words cannot describe the pain I felt when I found out you were gone. I'm heart broken that I did not get to see you the last few years and that I have so few memories with you, but the ones that I do will forever be with me. 
No one will be able to amuse me by pulling money from my ears when I was little like you did, and to this day I never knew how you did that. But what it did do was make me smile. 
As I sit here thinking about the memories you have left me with, I thank God for giving me at least those few to hang on to until we meet again.
No one will ever give a big bear hug like you, or make me feel as safe as I did growing up with a man like you in my life. Although, our visits together were few, I always knew that you were there for me and loved me unconditionally.
I fight back tears as I think of how I will never hear your deep laughter, or smell your strong cologne in a hug again. But what helps me through, is that I have gained another beautiful Angel to protect me everyday. And every time I see a quarter or take a swig of scotch or whiskey, I will smile knowing you are with me. I love you big guy more then words can say.

I met Joe after hearing about him for years  from Ingrid.  She had painted quite a picture for me, setting expectations pretty high.  As you might have guessed, Joe exceeded it.  A big, handsome guy with absolutely perfect hair, a great smile, a razor sharp wit, and a personality that commanded everyone's attention!  He was a bright, charming, and outrageously funny character that left too soon, but he did manage to provide those that he loved, and that loved him, a collection of wonderful memories and stories that will surely provide laughter through the tears.

Death  leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.  You left an impression on us all through your gift of storytelling, generosity and laughter.  You will be greatly missed and loved.
