I don't know where to start this has hit me in a way that I can't explain or understand.. The memories we shared from way back when we was younger the things we did together were wild the trips to DR with the kids the fun we had I will always remember them you was a great friend and like you said in that msg we didn't have to see each other to know we loved each other it's so much I want to say I'm going to miss our good morning emoji and all the blessings we sent to each other this is so sad it really breaks my heart my condolences to Anita and Jr and all your grand baby's they will miss you so much all I can say Rest in peace🙏 my good friend 🧡 until we meet again I love you Girl 💕

To my friend, mentor, confidant, my first critic when I could do better but always my cheerleader. The women that walked by my side uncountable times always enforcing in me strength, resilience, power, and the pride of knowing that me against the world was fine because she would be there to help me back up.  

Today I’m loss because all I yearn to hear is mija it’s ok , you got this or your iconic line I got you. Our memories together along with Luz are so many that we can write a book. Memories from holding your hand for Covid shots ( due to your extreme fear  of)  to celebrating each others birthday always seeking to up one each other in who could make who fell more special, your  bickering with Luz on how you like your eggs in the morning , to the jokes about anything and everything. Your contagious laughter and your in between giggles saying  “ Mija stop no puedo mas, Mary-Ann no me hagas Reir.” To the serious moments when you would often threatened to tell on me to my mom; yet I could never take you serious because your facial expressions would out you and you would burst in laughter saying “Aqui no respetan a uno”

Can’t forget to mention how down you were to following every crazy idea like piercing our noses , going bleach blonde together, and reenacting Dona Florinda and ElChavo for halloween. Your looks over your glasses to signal to Luz and I that you called BS when someone else was trying to lie. Our shopping sprees where our motto was if you don’t have but I have then it means you have so we buying it. 

But On April 29th, the laughter stop, time paused and my mind and heart stop functioning as one. Because as my mind attempts to understand that you are no longer in pain and in a better place, my heart can’t let go.  (I can imagine her singing let it go from frozen to me to make me laugh).  In my love for you I’m working on knowing that letting go is another act of love when warranted. But it will never be a goodbye, it’s till we meet again. SIP🤍

Mercedes, I was deeply saddened in learning of your passing. I am still in disbelief. You were such an amazing person who was always able to light up a room with your joy in seconds. Your laughter was contagious. You were a hardworking woman who never hesitated to help others. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. May your family find peace and solace during this difficult time. Rest in peace Mercy. 💜

Mercedes was my counselor in my younger years in a tumultuous time in my life. She showed me what a mother’s love was. She always gave guidance and a big part on who I am today. She always cared for me and kept in touch. My condolences to the family. God has a really special angel up there.

Mercedes, you were a very special client for 20 years. Your memory will always live on in our hearts. I knew you always looked forward to me getting your coffee while preparing your taxes, and despite my long working hours, you always brought a smile to my face with your great sense of humor.
