Born in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia in 1943, Reinhard immigrated to the United States at a young age with his parents, Edward and Elisabeth, and brothers, Edward and Erich. After being drafted into the Army and serving for 3 years, Reinhard met Renate while stationed in Kitzingen, in Bavaria, Germany. They married in 1971 and Renate moved to New York, where they both enjoyed sharing their passion for the German culture. Reinhard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being involved with his Schuhplattler Club, and loved watching Bundesliga soccer.
Reinhard is survived by his loving wife Renate; children Thomas, Michael (Annemarie), and Christine (Alaniz); grandchildren Joseph, Leah, Markus, Alexander, Mattias, and Paulina, and his two brothers.
Arrangements have been made at Werst and Labella Funeral Home in Glendale, NY.
