Born on February 25th 1943 in Cayey, Puerto Rico. Sally (as she was better known) was the daughter of Aurelio Burgos and Maria Luisa Diaz. Her family emigrated to New York City, specifically Spanish Harlem where she spent her formative years. After graduating from Central Commercial High School she transitioned into the business world where she excelled in the roles of secretary, bookkeeper and office manager.
Throughout her life Sally was a source of unwavering love, guidance and strength to her beloved family and friends. She was a single mother to Myra and Wilfred who will forever be grateful for her boundless love and steadfast support.
Sally was a terrific salsa dancer and was the proverbial life of the party. She lit up any room she entered with her broad smile, infectious energy, terrific sense of humor and magnetic personality. She was short in stature with a giant heart and didn't take any guff from anyone. She loved cats and kept them throughout her life.
In addition to her children Sally is survived by her grandchildren Joshua and Justine, her great-granddaughter Reina and daughter-in-law Rosario.
