Beverly Ann Watkins was the second of three children born to Robert and Stella (Midthun) Walker. Bev was born on November 12, 1936 at home in Crosby, MN. Graduating from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1954 she was best known “for her jolly air, her laughing eyes, and her dark hair”.
Bev was a very good athlete growing up and enjoyed softball and bowling. She also was a very avid Minnesota sports fan, especially rooting for the Vikings and Twins. She worked for several years in Minneapolis, Crosby, and Thief River Falls as a data entry specialist, and finally retired in Minneapolis, MN in 1993 at the age of 56. Bev moved to Colorado in 1995 to be closer to her favorite daughter. Bev was a crossword puzzle “wiz”, loved attending all of her children’s sporting events, loved sharing stories with her numerous friends and family, and was a very proud Wife, Mother, and Grandmother!
Bev is preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Stella, her brother Don, her sister Karen Maier, and her son; Jon Stimac. She is survived by her husband Howard, her children; Rick Stimac, Sheryl (Dan) Howerton and David (Christy) Stimac; and her favorite grandchildren, Annabelle and Jonathon (David and Christy), and her nine step-children. Bev passed away peacefully Friday, August 16, 2013 at her home in Littleton, CO.
We ALL love Bev very much and are going to miss her…especially her home cooked meals and her amazingly kind, gentle, caring, giving, generous, and loving heart.
