

Bobbie Glenn Nelson "Wheat Ridge, Co." Business Owner (Twister Truck Sales) died November 22, 2010 of natural causes. He was born June 22, 1930 in Yale, Idaho. He is survived by his son Wade F. Nelson, Daughter-in-law Kim Nelson, Los Alamos NM., Grandchildren Kellen Michael Nelson (Deborah Nelson), Haylee Elyce Nelson, and Kory Wade Nelson; a great-grandchild Brian Duran all from New Mexico; his brother Farreld Delroy Nelson (Janice) from Twin Falls, Idaho and his nieces and nephews from Twin Falls and Chris Gietzen of Columbia Falls, Montana. He spent his younger years in Idaho Falls, Idaho and then moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. He attended schools in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents Farreld W Nelson and Evelyn Rose Knocke-Nelson, sister Betty Treat, and wife Connie Jo Nelson.
He joined the Navy and served in the first part of the Korean War. He served in the Navy for 5 years aboard the USS Oakland and USS Taussing as a Signalman .
He was in business with his father "Nelson Truck Lines" in Twin Falls, Idaho for many years. He then worked for John Cris Motors in Twin Falls, Idaho. He then at the request of a Buick Representative moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho and went to work for Hart Pontiac. He went to work after that selling heavy duty trucks for Smith's Chevrolet in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bobbie later started "Interstate Truck Sales" in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In April 1978 he moved to Denver and went to work as an Arrow Truck Sales Associate . He traveled extensively all over the world selling fleet trucks. In 1996 he worked for Volvo Trucks of Colorado and was distinguished as "Master Sales Leader." He started Twister Truck Sales in Denver, CO with his partner Brett Christensen until his retirement.
He married Lucille Gietzen in March 1957 they were later divorced. He married Connie Jo Kline in Arkansas, June 1988.
He was an avid golfer, hunter, sports enthusiast, animal lover, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was very, very proud of his family. He lived a very long and happy life and was happy to see some very significant events in the last couple of years before his death. He was able to celebrate Kellen/Deborah's marriage and was able to meet his new great-grandchild Brian, he attended Haylee's College Graduation, and Kory's High School Graduation and wrestling career. His last trip to New Mexico 3 weeks ago will always be remembered. He visited with his daughter-in-law Kim and then went out fishing with his son Wade on a beautiful little lake, just the two of them.
The family will hold a private ceremony at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Bobbie G. Nelson to the "American Cancer Society" or the "Angles with Paws" Cat Rescue in Youngsfield, CO.
