A more loved mother-daughter pair there could never be than Olive & Floriene Tripp.  They were our neighbors and friends for more than four decades. Floriene was my role model as a young woman growing up. Sadly, cross-country moves put us out of touch but I will forever remember them with greatest affection and respect and remember our many, many visits over the years.

My husband and I were sad today to hear about the loss of Floriene. While we lived in Grand Junction, she became a wonderful family friend. She often worried us back then because she was the only 70 year old we knew that insisted on cleaning her own roof! But, she was a strong woman and we had great respect for her. We will always cherish her life story, strength and the joy she shared with us. With her knitting talent she made us beautiful afghans for our wedding and for the birth of our daughter 7 years ago. They will be treasured always. God Bless Floriene and all of her loved ones. As much as she'll be missed, we're glad she's at peace.

I am so sorry to hear about the death of Floriene. We worked together for many years at the phone company. I lost track of her in the past few years. We had many wonderful times together over the years. She was a blessing in my life and I am most grateful for having known her. My condolences to her family and other friends.

  I am so sorry to hear of Floriene's passing. She was always such a beautiful lady. I remember her mother too because they lived across the street from my grandmother, Elsie Deering in Golden, Co. I know that every time we would go visit my grandma that my mom, Irene Moon, would look forward to visiting with Mrs. Tripp and Floriene. I still have the beautiful afghan that she made for me.

I am glad that Floriene is finally at peace and has joined Grandma and Jimmy in heaven.  I will miss our Tuesday afternoons together.
