Janice E. Harris

Janice E. Harris 68, of Golden, CO passed away on 9/10/2011. She is survived by her 5 children; Lisa White-Twin Falls Idaho, Terri Davis-Golden, CO, Penelope Iowa-Morrison, CO, Paul Iowa-Westminster, CO, and Charles Iowa-Westminster, CO. She is also survived by her siblings Gary Patterson-Denver, CO; Jackie Provine-Lakewood, CO, Rick Patterson-Morrison, CP and Cathy Patterson-Golden, CO. She had 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Dorothy Patterson, Father Jack Patterson, husband Phil Harris, son Frank Iowa, and brother Terri Patterson.

Janice was a remarkable woman who worked hard to care for her children as a single mother. She was considered to be the rock of her family. She spent the last 20 plus years caring for her younger sister who was disabled.

She loved her family with all her heart and enjoyed spending time with them. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.

She lived most of her life in Colorado bud did spend time in California. She loved the beauty of Colorado, and the views from her porch. She liked to watch the snow fall and the smell in the air when winter was upon us.

She had a deep passion for NASCAR. She didn't miss a race, and she shared that passion with her grandsons. She also spent endless hours putting puzzles together.

Janice will be missed very much. She was loved by so many and her memory will live on in all of us.

We love you and our days and nights won't be the same without you. I love you Mom!

Services will be held at Olinger Woods Mortuary, Monday, September 19th, 2011 with a viewing at 10:00pm followed by a service at 11am.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Food Bank of the Rockies in Memory of Janice E. Harris.
