Wilma Wade (Lyon, Hille, Koch) was born May 18, 1916 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She was an elementary school teacher in the Waukesha area in a one room schoolhouse. That’s where she met our dad, Armin Hille, who was going to the schools to talk about the importance of children’s eye care. They married on June 10, 1939 and lived in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. They raised three children, Jean (Smith), Don and Robert. Armin preceded her in death in November, 1966.
In 1969, she married Harold Koch and they lived on Harold’s “farm” near Slinger, Wisconsin. There she was able to enjoy Harold’s horses and ponies. Harold passed away in 1973.
In 1974, she married Thone Wade and they lived in Thone’s home in West Bend, Wisconsin. Thone passed away in 1974. Wilma continued to live in West Bend until she decided to move west and live in Golden, Colorado to be near her grandchildren.
Wilma always had a love for God, family, flowers, birds and horses and her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wilma is survived by her children, Jean (Germantown, Wisconsin), Don (and his wife, Laura Suisun City, California) and Robert (and Mary Littleton, Colorado), grandchildren Russ, Zach, Rob, Adara, Barette and Kari and great-grandchildren Cynthia, Mason, Logan and Rachel.
Funeral Services will be held at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 10304 W. Bellview Avenue, Littleton, CO. Service time is 10:30am on Monday February 13, 2012.
