Zelpha Gertrude Vallentine Madsen

Zelpha Gertrude Vallentine Madsen was born on February 14, 1916 to Lillie and Lafayette Gordon in Dewey OK but lived most of her life in the Golden CO area. She went to be with Jesus on January 5, 2011 at the age of 94. Her 5 older siblings, Gladys Patrick, Zona Russum, Ada Moyer, Rellen Stolns, James Gorden and her husband, Rex, preceded her in death. She is survived by their daughters Juanita Reynolds and Connie Hoatson-Bryson. Her legacy includes 5 Grandchildren; Debbra Huntington, Sherry Howe, Jeff Ramstetter, Brenda Gardner, Julie Ramstetter, 7 Great Grandchildren; Christa, Briana, Jamie, Robert, Crystal, Michael, Sasha and 11 Great Great Grandchildren. There are 21 Nieces and Nephews plus several Grand Nieces and Nephews and Great Grand Nieces and Nephews.

Her favorite morning phrase was, “Rise and Shine”. Drove everybody insane but she was always so happy to get the day started. As the years caught up with her she still remained very strong minded and expressed her opinion without hesitation. In her last days her concern was not of herself but her daughters and others. Asking some, “Do you know who your Lord is?” Her desire was that everybody was saved so that we all will live together in eternity with our Father and his Son.
