

Adlice Troxclair Waguespack, a native of Destrehan and resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Adlice recently celebrated her 90th birthday. Adlice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, Adlice liked to sew, crochet, counted-cross-stitching, playing Bingo, and puzzles. She also enjoyed baking and traveling with her family. Adlice was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Adlice is survived by her daughters, Nelda Banker (Buck), Judy Braud (Gary), Arlene Bihm (Tommy), Elsie Hinrichs (Brian); sons, Marvin Waguespack (Lori), Jason Waguespack ( Effie), Jesse Waguespack (Sherry); sister, Bessie Troxclair Poche'; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Adlice is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edgar Joseph Waguespack, Jr.; son, Barry Joseph Waguespack; daughter, Connie Theresa Waguespack; great-grandson, William Banker; parents, Marcel J. and Josepha Troxclair; sister, Miriam Roberts, brothers, Sherman and Davis Troxclair. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, celebrated by Fr. Eric Gyan. Entombment will follow in Ascension Catholic Mausoleum in Donaldsonville, LA. Marvin Waguespack, Jason Waguespack, Jesse Waguespack, Brad Banker, Clint Braud, and Tony Waguespack will serve as pallbearers.
