Alma Ruth Cadenhead

Alma Ruth Cadenhead, a native of Baton Rouge, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA passed away on January 1, 2018 at the age of 75. Alma was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed gatherings and cooking for her family and friends. Alma worked as a nurse her whole life and was very active parishioner with St, Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Alma is survived by her sons, Eric Stevens and wife, Kelly, and James Lee and wife, Katie; grandchildren, Kate Stevens and fiancé, Brennan Stelly, Trevor Stevens, Anna Stevens, James T. Lee III, George Lee. Alma is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Heath and Rosemary Folse, as well as numerous other family members. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church (1022 N. Burnside Ave. Gonzales, LA 70737) from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am officiated by Fr. Ed Martin. A rosary will be said at 8:45 am. Entombment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum (9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alma’s memory to a charity of your choice.
