A devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the age of 94. He was a resident of Prairieville and retired from Borden Inc. He was a member of New River UMC in St. Amant, LA.
Preceded in death by his adoring wife of 62 years, Evelyn Bourgeois Cannon; mother, Mae Babin Cannon; father, Alton Bert Cannon, Sr.; and sister, Dorothy Cannon Smiley.
He is survived by two sons; Kim Cannon and wife (Karen) and Keith Cannon; five grandsons; David (Jennifer), Jeremy (Jeannette), Brad, Tommy, and Geoffrey (Mercedes).
He also had three great-grandchildren; Kaleb, Kyndal, and Reyhan.
Gravesite services will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home Chapel at 11am on Thursday, January 29, 2026, officiated by Rev. Kurt Appel and Rev. Russ Clunan.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the administration and staff of Old Jefferson Community Care Center during the last year.
