Amy Marie Orlando-Nelson, 42, passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends Monday, June 14, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Russell D. Nelson; two stepsons, William Cook and Jagady Nelson; parents, Linda and James Smith; grandparents, Arlington and Lucille Brown; sister, Penny Barrett; brothers and sister-in-law, Timmy, and Jimmy and Missy Smith; four nieces, Bethany and Cheyenne Barrett, and Tessa and Kayla Smith; and two nephews, Timothy and Nicky Smith. Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oliver and Margaret Smith. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Saturday, June 19, from 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Burial in Carpenter's Chapel Cemetery. Amy loved the FUN section in The Advocate, her dogs, Stormy and Katie, swimming, and landscaping the yard. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
