Audrey Stafford Rogers Summers closed her eyes here on Earth and opened them in Heaven to see the face of our Lord and Savior on December 1, 2022 at the age of 82. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, and sister. Audrey was very proud of the many lives of students and teachers that she touched in her 33 years of service as an educator in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. She was also an accomplished musician who played the piano and sang with her brother and sisters at various churches throughout her life. Nothing made her parents happier than for all of their children to gather around the piano and sing their favorite hymns. She enjoyed her later years antiquing with her husband, laughing and shopping with her daughters, and raising her little pomeranian, Prissy. She is survived by her husband, Harold Summers; two daughters and sons-in-law, Robbyn Rogers Wax (John) and Erin Rogers Tullier (Keith); brother, Wayne Stafford; sisters, Cheri Gilbert and Vicki Loggins; three grandchildren, Nicholas Tullier (Rayna), Cameron Tullier, and Hannah Tullier; and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Lola Tullier. She is also survived by her step children, Debbie and David. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Della Stafford. Close family and friends will celebrate her life at a private service on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. She will be laid to rest at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary, LA. The family would like to give a special thanks to 21st Century Hospice for the love and care that they gave our mother. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.oursofh.com for the Summers family.
