Betty Bennett was born February 26, 1959 to the late Ollie Boudreaux and James LeBlanc, Sr. She was reared by the late James Carey, Sr. and Jane Carey. On Friday, March 03, 2017, her spirit ascended to be with the Lord. Betty was baptized into God’s family at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and later joined I Walk By Faith Ministry, where she served faithfully in the choir, the audio ministry and as a missionary. Betty was a very loving, generous person who had great faith and loved God. Her devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend shall be greatly missed. Betty leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted husband, Lawrence Bennett; son, Torey and wife, Aviance Bennett; three grandchildren, Camryn, Cayden, and Torey, Jr.; Godchildren, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA on Saturday, March 11, 2017from 9:00am until 10:45am followed by a Celebration of Life service at I Walk By Faith Ministry 1434 N. Burnside Ave. Suite 40 Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 at 11:00am.
