God cradled our "Granny" sweetly while the angels sang her home Friday, July 9, 2010, at age 79. She was a retired South Central Bell telephone operator, a resident of Galvez and native of Slagle. Bonnie was born to the late William Oswald and Miriam Floyd Holton in January 1931 and was the beloved mother of four loving children: daughter, Donnis Duplessis; son and daughter-in-law, Cloyd and Jill Holton; son, Keith L. Lessard; and daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Tommy Graham. She will also be missed by a devoted brother and sister-in-law, L.I. "Buddy" and Mary Ann Holton, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren. "Granny" loved working in the yard, playing with her grandchildren, riding her scooter, watching the news and taking care of her two beloved cats of 16 years, Toby and Abigail. Words cannot express just how much she has touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be forever remembered and Heaven is now a little sweeter with her there. The family would like to acknowledge the constant, unyielding care and attention given to "Granny" by her granddaughter, Kaci Brown and son-in-law, Tommy Graham. There will be a visitation Thursday, July 15, from 9 a.m. until a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Gonzales Baptist Temple, 2807 S. Hodgeson Ave., Gonzales, with services to be conducted by the Rev. Charles Ross. Friends and family are invited. Graveside services will follow at Carpenter's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements prepared by Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, www.oursofh.com.
